Hancock Iron Ore

What we do

We provide the materials needed to create essential infrastructure across the world, fostering economic growth and development.

Our portfolio of world-class iron ore operations located in West Australia’s Pilbara region have a proud history of delivering a reliable product for our customers located in key international markets such as Japan, Korea, China, India, and Taiwan.

Owner operated

We’re leading the way with our innovative and world-class mining operations.

Our next-generation Roy Hill mine enables the sustained low-cost production of iron ore at a consistent quality and grade, allowing us to respond to market cycles. Located 344km south east of Port Hedland, it delivers more than 60 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa) of iron ore to international markets.

Contract mining

Our agile operating model also allows us to focus on mines with smaller footprints.

Working with our contracting partners, we export around 10Mtpa through the Utah Point facility in Port Hedland from our Mt Webber, Sanjiv Ridge, and Miralga mines. Owned and operated by the Pilbara Ports Authority (PPA), Utah Point supports haulage delivery into multiple stockyards.

Our safety focus

We’re committed to the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees and contractors.

Our aim is to ensure that everyone goes home without injury at the end of every shift. We are fostering a diverse, fair, and welcoming workplace that values unique perspectives and enables our people can thrive.
